National Economic Summit PM has indicated that the challenge is real

Prime Minister YAB Datuk Seri Najib Razak's speech at the National Economic Summit this morning is not only articulate but also frank and responsible. The economy is everyone's concern, not just the government's. PM has indicated that the challenge is real. And it is here and now.

The only way to solve the economic challenge is to deal with it head on. The PM is firm on this. And that's good.

PM is also willing to sacrifice his popularity to rectify fundamental distortions in the economy. That is a mark of a statesman!

What he has done today is presenting the state of the nation's economy, including the challenges and solutions. This should be done every year.
